The Central Michigan University College of Medicine was preparing to welcome their first class of medical students to campus when they called Brophy to consult on their unique branding needs.
The school was created to meet the demand for high-quality physicians in underserved rural and urban communities in Michigan. The new collage wanted an identity, logo and marketing materials that would capture their innovative purpose as a medical school, yet maintain their close association to the brand identity of Central Michigan University (CMU).
Brophy worked with an interdisciplinary team within CMU to define the identity, design their seal, create a photography library, and write brand standards for the CMU College of Medicine. The logo lockup uses the visual representation of a pulse to connect the College with the primary University logo. This styling was continued with other University medical initiatives.
